Our Garden

This year, my husband and I decided to plant a garden. We knew it would be a lot of work, but let me tell you.... It's A LOT of WORK! It better be good.

Jeremiah got things started... breaking ground!

Elijah was close behind- his version of tilling
A boy who follows in his fathers footsteps

Then it was my turn to take over... the tiller was heavy and hard to turn

The first few runs are done.... many more to come...

Elijah's making sure the ground is just right. Any toy with wheels is a lawn mower or a tiller

Breaking up some of the clumps of grass and dirt. My boys and their rakes

Garden is finally tilled and trenches are dug

Elijah hammers in the stakes to mark the rows

My blister- right below my middle finger. That's the hand of a true worker!

Jeremiah planting the corn

Mommy and Elijah planting pumpkins... hopefully they'll grow and Eli can carve one this fall!!!

The finished product. Corn, Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Pumpkins and possibly potatoes a little later.

  1. Oh, I love you garden. More than the garden it warms my heart to see your little family doing such a big job together. You are making some wonderful memories. The kind that get you through the hard times, and you know just what I'm talking about there. I love you tons, and I'm so proud of the woman you have grown up to be.
