My Biking Maniac

This particular bicycle can be found at Wal-Mart for $60 or Toys 'R Us for $75. However, we found it at a Rummage Sale for $20! Elijah always goes for this bike when we are dodging the toy aisle in Wal-Mart. He hops on and pedals away (he has been pedaling for about 3 months, now). Well, we just couldn't justify paying what the stores charge- even though those big blue eyes are so sweet. So, we were so excited when we found this, barely used, bike.

Now that he has an awesome bike, he suddenly has become the coolest kid on the street. We live on a street with a cul-de-sac at the end. He gets his helmet, jumps on his bike, and off he goes. It's so funny. We can just sit in our driveway and watch him as he heads down the sidewalk, rounds the cul-de-sac, and comes back down the street on the opposite side. Then, when we say it's okay, he crosses back to our driveway and does the same thing all over again. The big kids all want to ride his bike, but I tell them no. Seriously, he's a 2 year old, very territorial boy. There's just no way that can end well. They can't catch him anyway, he's surprisingly super fast!

Really, can it get much cuter?!

  1. Well, yeah mom. With a bike like that who could catch you? He has great taste in bikes. Oh, he and Bubby would have fun. There may be a throw down over the bike though. Bubby's "faster" bike isn't nearly as cool, and I'm sure he'd be drawn to the BMX super model. Come on out, bring the bike and we can have some fun racing. (Just give me notice, I may need to update Bubby's ride.;)

  2. Yea-- your back blogging:) That looks like an awesome bike-- gotta LOVE rummage sales! Gianna and I have gone out to a few rummage sales these past few weeks, but we haven't found anything as cool as that bike yet, just a few nice finds here and there. Do they call them rummage sales in Missouri? Up here they call them Thrift Sales and I get weird looks when I say rummage sales, but I say it that way anyway;) Hope all is well!
