13 Weeks and Counting

So, yesterday when Jeremiah, Elijah and I arrived at the doctor's office, I did my normal stuff; BP, Weight, Pee in a Cup.... However, as I was walking into the room the doctor was flying down the hallway and out the door. He had to go deliver a baby... bad timing on that lady's part ;) Anyway, Jeremiah was bummed because he doesn't get to come to every appointment, so missing out on this one was disappointing. However, we re-scheduled for today and it couldn't have gone better (except if Jeremiah could have been there).
With Elijah asleep across two chairs in the exam room, we proceeded with the ultra-sound.... no baby calls today. Usually, we have about 15 minutes or less, but I was the only patient in the building today, so the doctor decided to play with his machine. He took these really cool pictures...
This is a full frontal of Baby Helvey... who will remain Baby Helvey until it's birthday... we will keep the sex a secret when we find out what we're having. Deal with it, Mom ;)

Hear Rate was right around 164- I forget the exact number, due to hormones :)

  2. Great ultra sound pictures! Have you guys considered keeping it a surprise for you too? Honestly, I'm glad I did it once, but I'm not sure if I could do it again. It was weird though, when Gianna was born, I knew she was a girl even before the doctor said, "It's a girl!" Mother's instinct I guess (or it could have just been the fact that I had a 50/50 chance of it being a girl or boy;)

  3. We have considered it, and we may try not to see. However, we've seen enough ultra-sounds to know what we're seeing (or not seeing) that I don't think we'll be able to allow ourselves the surprise. We like to peek. And the fact that I have an ultra-sound at every appointment gives me way too much opportunity to check it out. :)

  5. I am dealing with it my girl, I just think you should try to not know at all, I'm excited to not know and would love for you to have that experience. Thanks for sharing the u-pics, it is so fun to be able to see what the little angel in waiting is up to!

  6. Yea! Glad to hear everything continues to go so smoothly. We have waitied to find out the sex with all three of our babies, it is so much fun. I love the suspense. More than that I love hearing everyone's opinion of what I'm having. But then again, I love the build up, the waiting, the suspense. Others just find it annoying.
