What garden?

Okay, so it's been a while since I have blogged. Unfortunately, I just haven't really felt like it, to be quite honest. So, now I'm feeling in the mood again.

We had high hopes for our garden, however, the moles and deer had high hunger pains, apparently. Between the flood our garden underwent the first few days after it was planted, the sneaky moles, and the deer our garden was a complete and total failure. :( Sad. Now, we will have to hit up some farmer for corn stalks for our fall decorations outside our front door. Our produce will still have to be purchased at Hy Vee and our pumpkins will have to come from a commercial patch.

I would post a picture, but really, who cares to see the grass in our backyard. Because, that's all it is now :) LOL

Our Garden

This year, my husband and I decided to plant a garden. We knew it would be a lot of work, but let me tell you.... It's A LOT of WORK! It better be good.

WWE Superstar?

So, underneath his MU Jersey, Elijah had on this black "wife-beater" which is also too big for him. Jeremiah was putting some of his socks in his sock drawer and Elijah had to wear a pair of "daddy's socks!". So, Jeremiah dug out some of those lame hospital socks with the grippies on the top and bottom of your foot (as if everyone in the hospital is too dumb to figure out how to properly put a pair of socks on). When Elijah walked into the computer room to "show mommy" I quickly reached for the camera, rolling with laughter. He actually posed! What a little goofball. He looks like a cheesy WWE wrestler.

Black & Gold From Head To Toe (Our Little Tiger)

Well, with all of the Tiger excitement here in Missouri, right now, we decided to dress Elijah in full Tiger garb. This jersey should fit him well through the next 4 years of his life but it was on clearance and Jeremiah just had to get it for him. It's pretty cute, though.

Bug'N Out

This is Eli's newest addition to his hat collection. His Ashton Kutcher, truckers hat. In case you can't tell, there are pictures of various bugs, and the bill reads "Bug'N Out". He loves to wear his hats sideways and backwards- usually without any encouragement from us. Not that we don't encourage it from time to time, but this little dude does what he wants, when he wants and this one, we don't discourage. What little boy isn't cute with his hat on wrong?!
So, that day we were playing in the front yard because the backyard had some muddy spots that I wasn't interested in dealing with that day. I brought the basketball hoop out and he was shooting some ball. What a cool cat!
Here, he goes for the dunk... at a much slower pace than the pros. His expression is like "yeah, I'm cool- what?"

Silence?

It seems that I have been blog-silent. That's only because my life has been so loud! I have some serious catching up to do but it won't all come at once...
Gilligan!!!!!


This boy loves hats! As I was digging a few out the other day to try on the 6 month old baby I watch, Elijah snatched this one from me and put it on (it's too small). Then, he climbed atop his Little Tykes cube slide and started barking orders at his cousin, JR. He reminded me of the Skipper.
